Making heels, clothes and bags with abandoned banner? The infinite resource, trash, made into something useful. Furthermore, the staffs are composed with the disabled, senior citizen who lives alone and others. This unique idea came into action by our fellow student. The Inha Times met Choi Hwan (Department of fashion Design & Textiles) the founder of “SSORRY” which is more known as “The Best Bright Smile” to us. Surprisingly, the banner which is incinerated unconditionally was 10tons per a week. He came to think of how these abandoned banners could be more useful and it was how he started his company.
 

The Inha Times (IT): How did you start doing activities using abandoned banner?

Choi Hwan: It was when I went to India for overseas volunteering program and there, I met a girl. I just wanted to impress her and tried to find out how. Finally I started to make something with abandoned banner because I didn’t have much money.

IT: It is true that the way to founding isn’t always smooth. What was your motivation to suffer and overcome?

Choi Hwan: It is my life not others. I can’t die because of having a tough time. I can’t give up my precious life.  I think of it always and also I have to get praised from my friends, parents, wife and my children! Also, I had a a firm thought and belief on going through the way where nobody tried. At first, going to a good university and a good workplace was in my mind but one day, I came to think, “What do I really like? What do I want to do?”. After having many thoughts, I came to the end. What I really want to do is foundation, making my own work..

IT: What kind of value and enlightenment do you get from your work?

Choi Hwan: I don’t know how to say things fancy pr impressive but one thing, I like it when I work and also others. Especially when my acquaintances like my process of work, I feel extremely happy. I think that’s it and I’m satisfied with it. Nothing so special! I do have desires to make money but still, I want it like this, beautifully. Later when my life gets too hard, I can find some way to make easy money but not now.

IT: When was your most memorable and impressive moment? And why?

Choi Hwan: Uhm, our company does variety of works and between those works, we once had an emergency. At that time, we worked all night without eating properly for 3 days. Finally when we solved the problem by working together, it was over description.

IT: As a representative of “ The Best Bright Smile”, what would you say to people who do not have confidence on their future?.

Choi Hwan: I also live in the reality, the competitive and struggling life. My dream is to simply live happily ever after. I want to say that you guys, everybody are suffering many hardships but you don’t die because of doing what you want. I never thought I could make it but now, I’m already in this place. I’m so happy everyday because I’m curious about tomorrow, the future. I mean, it’s not something bad to prepare for reality. Whatever you do, you need to trust and love yourself, the most valuable person. Lastly, Inha University is really a good school! Best of best!
